JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Provides support to the engineering and design staff by performing a variety of more complex assignments during the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

  • Installs, monitors, and services equipment and systems at the company and client sites.
  • Performs test and evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks; performs validations/verifications of various electronic systems.
  • Reviews Engineering Change Proposals for equipment impacts.
  • Assists in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions.
  • Develops technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical drawing updates, operating procedures, maintainability improvements, and test reports.
  • Supports systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise.
  • Assists in training others in the operation and performance of systems.
  • Plans and coordinates work of other engineering technicians and related positions.
  • Establishes and maintains filing systems, databases, and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory.
  • Assists work unit personnel as the on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
  • Provides technical data and evaluation for components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout, and contract requirements.
  • Supports engineers in the development of technical proposal and provides comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
  • Uses established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of moderate complexity that vary in nature and sequence.
  • Performs related work as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to 30 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. Frequent travel to remote Company work locations may be required.

RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION

Perform logistics/analyses and supply support tasks within a specific work unit for systems, subsystems, and equipment. The incumbent must possess the ability to:

  • Perform logistics element analyses and studies.
  • Review reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc., and generate reports.
  • Perform physical inventorying, cataloging, warehousing, material/property control coordination, and data entry in support of various supply activities.
  • Assist with the entry and maintenance of logistics support data and documents in computer databases.
  • Perform customer interface with minimum supervision to define and report status of routine tasks.
  • Prepare routine logistics correspondence.

The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills, be able to work under deadlines, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The incumbent must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position may require travel.


REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE

The incumbent must have vocational/technical training beyond high school from an academic institution or military equivalent training and at least 3 years of job-related experience. The incumbent must possess good communication and analytical skills and working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines

The incumbent must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

The expected pay range for this position is $39,624 - $51,147

The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
