Engineering Network Assistant responsibilities include working with ERP, PLM, homegrown MS Access databases, SQL databases, JIRA software etc. and being the person that will be the interface to these programs.
The successful candidate will be a team player and is expected to assume a role within a collaborative design team including, but not limited to, a technical specialist/layout drafter, detail drafter, engineer, core technology specialist, and service center/factory assembly team, as required. This person will also work closely with the Product design drafting team leads..
This position offers the applicant the ability to interact with the global Siemens Energy organization including Engineering, Operations and Marketing and Sales. There is potential to expand this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely following all corporate / local procedures and timely completion of all required safety training
  • Maintain accurate and organized records
  • Follow all processes and obtain necessary approvals where required.
  • Be the person that will be the interface between our ERP and PLM software.
  • Be an active and supportive advance key user for SQL database and JIRA applications.
  • Add / change tasks as required to the project work breakdown structure as required to support critical control points, milestone tasks, activity tasks for various departments.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Project Order Entry, and Finance.
  • Other miscellaneous duties to support the product line’s success.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Associates degree.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same enthusiasm and intensity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Possess and demonstrate a high degree of tact and professionalism; and be capable of interacting with Management, Peers, Shop Personnel, Inside Sales and SCM.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice (estimated 0-5% travel)

Preferred:

  • 1 – 2 years Oracle experience
  • 1 – 2 years SAP (Atlas) experience
  • 1 – 2 years planning, scheduling or billing experience
  • 1 – 2 years in an engineering environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens Energy products and services

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
