• Implement and maintain overall Engineering objectives and initiatives within the division.
• Manage all engineering activities within the division including design, development, production, testing and efficiency improvement.
• Lead and develop direct reports.
• Develop and implement robust project management processes, and make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
• Direct technical activities and prioritization to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
• Lead and manage multiple project engineering-driven assignments from start to finish with sound project management methodologies.
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility and commitment of projects.
• Solve escalated issues that come from operation and production teams.
• Spearheaded various research and development initiatives to identify demand for new projects and improved processes.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare and deliver various engineering-related presentations, both internally and externally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5-7 years of mechanical/materials/related engineering industry experience.
• 2-3 years of engineering management experience.
• Solidworks CAD design experience.
• Robust product development and testing experience.
• Exceptional project management experience through MS Project, Teams or similar.
• Able to successfully direct customer interaction experience and build strong external relationships.
• Able to effectively delegate work and develop a team.
• Strong problem-solving experience.
• Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications Word, Excel, and an understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent written communications skills, including the use of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar to produce error-free copy, particularly composing letters, reports and documents used for decision-making.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills including tact and diplomacy which would be utilized during customer service, conflict management, and development of relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, under pressure with time constraints while responding and adapting to change favorably and quickly.

• Seating design experience is a plus.
• Vibration/power transmission measurement and analysis experience a plus.
• Electrical engineering experience is a plus.
