Job description

The primary purpose of the position is to independently serve as a DAC Human Resources Recruiter in areas of position recruitment; qualifications review; and NEOGOV operation for complex or sensitive positions. Responsible for providing centralized recruitment services for the administrative divisions (Information and Technology, Safety Office, Internal Audit, Purchasing & Logistics, Governor’s Crime Commission, Human Resources, Strategic and Planning Office, and Communications Office, Engineering, Staff Development and Training, Facility Management, Security Services, Rehabilitative Program Services, Parole Commission). Position provides quality customer service to applicants and hiring managers to facilitate recruitment and retention of qualified diverse applicants for the agency.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

• Working to considerable knowledge of State HR systems and processes.
• Basic to working knowledge of federal and state laws, and State policies, procedures, and practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions within area of responsibility; able to learn and apply rules, procedures, and practices for various human resources management activities or personnel actions.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Pay: $37,577.00 - $65,760.00 per year
