Vaccine Mandate Policy

In accordance to federal mandate, all new employees, interns, and volunteers within Vinfen's Massachusetts programs will be required to be fully vaccinated (14 days beyond last shot of Pfizer or Moderna or 14 days beyond receiving a Johnson and Johnson vaccine), or have received the first shot in a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) with an appointment scheduled for the second dose. A 2nd dose must be received within six weeks of hire and the first shot prior to New Employee Orientation or have an approved exemption for medical or religious reasons by the first day of employment with Vinfen.

Schedule: Mon.- Fri. 9am - 5pm

Salary: $19.50 / hour

Sign on bonus: $1,000

The Employment Specialist helps Brain Injury Community Center members obtain and retain employment consistent with their goals using best practices. The Employment Specialist functions as a member of the Community Center Team to ensure integration of employment goals for members in their Community Center Action Plan. The Employment Specialist helps Center members and staff think about employment for people who haven't yet been referred to supported employment services.

The Employment Specialist also:

  • Provides individual and group support to the members of the Community Center
  • Maintains a Community Center caseload comprised of members who have been referred for supported employment services or are interested in employment.
  • Assists members in job development and job search activities. This may include the following: job searches through the internet, assistance with resume writing, and attendance at job fairs.
  • Actively pursues job activities for members by making cold calls, networking with businesses and making presentations to civic organizations while also using other creative methods.
  • Partners with members and Community Center staff to assess, develop, and implement Action Plans focused on individual employment goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
