Employee Recruiting and Retention Specialist

At Comfort Keepers, our Recruiting and Retention Specialist plans and executes ongoing and continuous full cycle recruiting plans to ensure our hiring needs are met and exceeded. This recruiter is team-oriented with excellent communication skills, takes pride in results-driven outcomes, while providing extraordinary customer service. A successful recruiter does not depend on a talent pipeline to fill the needs of the business but will rather have a robust recruitment strategy and be actively involved in attracting, screening, and hiring candidates at Comfort Keepers. This includes strong community involvement ties such as scheduling and participating in career fairs, building relationships with local training schools and colleges, and identifying best community sources for attracting caregiver talent. Additionally, the Employee Recruiting and Retention Specialist coordinates and guides the new hires through the onboarding process. This includes assisting with orientation, creation of employee file records, follow-up with new employees to assess their progress, and other duties as assigned. AIM OF THE JOB

The Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist reports to owner. The Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for ensuring employees have a platinum experience with the company. They are responsible for full life-cycle recruitment of employees, on-boarding new employees and planning and executing recruitment and retention events, including recruitment open houses, employee recognition events, employee engagement and more.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Introduces Comfort Keepers® to prospective employees and the community and shares our goals, mission and strategy

  • In the role of Recruiter for Comfort Keepers®, the Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist manages the full life-cycle recruiting process for employees to include developing recruiting strategies, candidate sourcing, screening, assessments, interviewing, background checks, selection, negotiation and close.
  • Electronically collects and records employee information such as personnel data, compensation, benefits, tax data in our data management software platform.
  • Participates in employee on-boarding process
  • Utilizes creative, multi-faceted sourcing tools and processes to recruit quality Comfort Keepers candidates
  • Converting quality candidates to onboarded employees
  • Ensuring a platinum onboarding experience for every employee despite the challenging nature of varying clients.
  • Supporting a growing, diverse, and dynamic team

MOST FREQUENT INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS & NETWORKS

The Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the following internal contacts:

  • Owner
  • Operations Manager
  • Client Care Coordinators
  • Office Coordinator
  • Nurses

The Employee Relations and Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the following external contacts:

  • Representatives from the company we use for digital marketing, including cooperating on posts for jobs within our territory, website and social media initiatives, and other digital marketing efforts.
  • Outside Employee sourcing platforms (Indeed, Care.Com, etc.) Community contacts such as churches, community centers, senior program directors, college staff members and others as needed
  • Data management software customer service representatives
  • Community employment resources
  • Comfort Keepers® corporate and other Comfort Keepers offices

MAIN ASSIGNMENTS

  • Source and recruit potential candidates through internet, networking, referrals, job fairs, publications, professional associations, etc.
  • Maintains understanding and knowledge of human resources functions such as staffing, recruitment and retention initiatives for the office and proactively seeks and implements new, creative recruitment and retention tactics to attract qualified candidates within specified time frames and retain them.
  • Partners with management to plan and anticipate human resources planning needs based on business development strategies.
  • Implement and maintain recruiting strategies and search techniques to source, screen, evaluate and select top quality candidates within specified time frames.
  • Initiates hiring process for Comfort Keepers including processing applications, background screening, assessments, interviewing, and reference checks; makes hiring recommendations and decisions.
  • Employee onboarding including state and federal documentation requirements and online training
  • Training initiatives
  • Develops, plans and executes employee retention strategies and activities/events
  • Other administrative projects and tasks as assigned.

  • Successful recruitment and retention of quality employees.
  • Timely feedback to owner and management team on trends, challenges, opportunities in recruiting and retention

  • Experience training others would be preferred

Required:

  • Recruiting/hiring and/or human resources experience required.
  • 2- or 4-year college degree, preferrably in business, Human Resources, Sales, etc.
  • Minimum of one to two years administrative experience required,
  • Demonstrated outgoing personality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Social media experience
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in the field, operate a motor vehicle, have a current, valid driver’s license and valid automobile insurance. Must be willing to travel throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area

Would be a plus:

Healthcare industry experience a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
