JOB TITLE: Employee Café Team Member
REPORTS TO: Assistant Catering Manager
DEPARTMENT: Catering
PAY RATE: $17.40/hour
JOB SUMMARY: It is the duty of all Catering Team Members to assist in achieving the standards of the Elitch Gardens food and beverage program in the employee cafe’.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure guest satisfaction at all times in the employee café.
  • Maintain proper attendance and promptness.
  • Maintain proper grooming.
  • Properly operate cash registers and/or aprons in accordance with cash handling policy.
  • May be required to perform work in other areas of the park as needed.
  • Ensuring that all food equipment is properly used and cared for.
  • Maintaining the storage and production of food so that it adheres to food safety practices.
  • Maintaining a guest ready environment which includes having sufficient product and a clean environment.
  • Keeping food preparation and dining areas clean and organized.
  • Ensuring that cooking projections are adhered to.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 16 years old.
  • Must have excellent cash handling and customer service skills.
  • Must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with Guests and other Team Members effectively.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • You will also work closely with many different types of machinery. Extreme caution needs to be used at all times. Available to work overtime, if over 18 years of age.
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Must be able to walk or stand for up to six hours a shift.
  • Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
  • Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
