Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Emergency Services Technician II, you will be primarily responsible for the supply/equipment in the ED. This would include ordering supplies, maintaining par levels, stock rooms. You will also perform patient care duties under the direction and supervision of a Register Nurse. In addition, you will transport patients as indicated.

Tasks and Responsibilities, you will:

• Demonstrates appropriate priorities of care when admitting patients to the Emergency Department.
• Prepares patients for transport to diagnostic test or room assignments (Cardiac Monitor, IV poles, Oxygen).
• Transports patients to floors in a timely manner and with the appropriate monitoring equipment
• Prepares rooms between patients assuring that the rooms are restocked, cleaned, and equipped.
• Performs patient care procedures per ED policy when directed to do so.
• Assists in meeting and maintaining patient comfort needs

What qualifications you will need:

• Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP), or AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Medical Assistant, or NHA Cert Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Graduate from an accredited school for EMT
  
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
