Position: Embroidery Finisher
Department: Embroidery Finishing
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Location: Distribution Center, Renton

Shift Information: Swing - Monday through Friday, 3pm with 2 10 minute breaks and one 30 minute unpaid lunch.

Job Summary:
This at-will position will be responsible for all functions necessary to prepare garments that have been embellished to ship to the customer.

Essential Functions:
  • Trim backing from logo
  • Steam hoop marks from garments and remove Solvy, if necessary
  • Inspect each logo on a garment to assure the location is accurate, trimming of the backing has been done correctly, steaming is complete,
excess threads are trimmed, and any repair of the embroidery or garment has been finished.
  • Fold and package garments.
  • Follows work standard for all steps in the process to assure the most efficient way to steam, inspect, fold, or bag.
  • Ability to learn all of the above functions within a designated period of time.

  • Discuss order issues with supervisor when questions arise to properly process the customer’s order.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with co-workers to understand order requirements.

  • Takes responsibility for your own actions, performance and results.
5. Problem Solving
  • Learns from correcting errors to avoid issues in the future.
  • Offers suggestions for process improvement.
6. Quality
  • Performs work to ensure that C&B quality standards are successfully met.
  • Our customers expect top quality so maximum care must be exercised to assure that all products meet C&B standards.
  • Immediately notifies supervisor when there is product not meeting C&B quality standards.
7. Productivity
  • Perform daily tasks and assignments efficiently and effectively to meet the production schedule and shipping deadlines.
  • Each associate impacts the team incentive by meeting productivity standards.
  • Understands the importance of “rush” orders and prioritizes them to meet our shipping deadline.
8. Dependability
  • Adheres to the attendance standards to ensure that scheduled production may be accomplished on time.
  • Proactively notifies supervisor of requests for time off to ensure enough notice for the approval process to take place.
  • Is able to work the standard shift’s hours and days.
9. Technical Skills
  • Appropriately and proficiently use the finishing equipment i.e. scissors, folders, steamers, baggers, and tape guns to avoid damage to the
product.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Skills/knowledge
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform very close detail work
  • Perform tasks and assignments, as well as collaborate within a team
  • Teachable; willing to follow direction and learn work steps and standards
  • Ability to understand paperwork

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience

  • Small assembly
  • Packing/shipping
  • Production environment
2. Physical Experience / Ability
  • Good hand/eye coordination required for 90% of tasks.
  • Proficiently and efficiently performs all manual tasks and functions as trained
  • Perform assigned tasks in an environment with production floor embroidery machine noise.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift or push carts up to 30 pounds.
  • Available to work additional hours as necessary and required to meet productivity demands.
  • Ability to stand on feet all day on concrete flooring.
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment that is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
