Electronic Banking Manager
Summary
The Electronic Banking Manager is responsible for managing the bank's electronic banking and cash management systems, which includes, but is not limited to online banking platforms, debit cards, wire transfers, ACH origination, remote deposit capture, telephone banking and online account opening.
Key responsibilities include, team leadership, maintaining a high level of service quality for both internal and external customers, managing all aspects of electronic banking operations, cross training team in all functions.
Responsibilities
Manage Electronic Banking Activities
Coordinate day-to-day work activities to obtain maximum efficiency within the department
Manage workflow within the digital channels such as online banking, telephone banking, and debit card activities
Monitor digital channels for downtime, speed of processing, unusual activity, etc.
Handle difficult customer situations and report on Customer Complaint Tracker with resolution
Cross-train staff in all areas of electronic banking
Debit Card Management & ATM Machine Activities
Oversee debit card ordering and supplies; maintain inventory control with appropriate vendors
Oversee and manage debit card dispute process
Coordinate all ATM installations with external vendors and internal resources
Compliance & Security
Maintain high level of expertise in Regulation E and all areas of compliance related to electronic banking & deposit operations
Awareness and compliance with CRA guidelines and policies, ethics policy, and the bank’s non-discrimination policy; complies with banking regulations
Comply with BSA requirements relating to Suspicious Activity Reporting, Currency Transaction Reporting, OFAC and red flags
Secure all documents and confidential data following the "clean desk" policy; lock computer screen and secure equipment when leaving desk or station
EFT Disputes, ACH Rules & Wire Transfers
Oversee debit card and EFT disputes through final decisions and correspondence with customers, document in Compliant Tracker with resolution
Maintain high level of expertise in ACH rules and regulations
Oversee Wire Transfer process
Remote Deposit Capture
Prepare and conduct presentations for customers when requested by retail sales or commercial lending areas
Prepare proposals for businesses as directed by retail sales and/or commercial lending
Oversee installation and training of equipment; provide contact information for customers
Oversee machine breakdown or replacement when necessary
Product Knowledge & Recommendations
Prepare and implement a cross-training plan with each staff member on products and services, document progress within Threads
Work with staff on making recommendations for customers by using open-ended questions; document progress in Threads
Compliance Training & Other Education
Complete all BVS online compliance training on or before deadlines
Attend compliance in-person and web-based training when offered
Attend other continuing education programs related to position
Maintain Procedural Manuals
Review department procedures specific to electronic banking, Debit Cards, ACH, wire transfers, and RDC
Update procedures and policies; distribute to other departments and branches via SharePoint, if applicable
Test procedures and incorporate screen shots, easy processes, and guidelines, as needed
Human Resource Management
Interview applicants and make hiring recommendations, document interview questions and answers in Threads
Complete performance reviews before due date for each direct report
Add and review comments made for team; provide feedback and action plans or performance improvement plans as needed
Consistently read feedback and follow up with relevant training, mentoring, encouragement, and accountability for staff
Coach staff to provide exemplary customer service to both internal customers and external customers
Community Involvement
Encourage team involvement in community events
Volunteer and/or attend three bank sponsored events through the performance year
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in business or equivalent work experience.
- Five years banking and electronic commerce experience, at least two of which in a supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of banking and compliance regulations pertaining to electronic banking.

Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
