JOB TITLE: Electromechanical Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Electromechanical Technician will be an integral part of our manufacturing team. This team member will lead our UL508A panel shop fabrication and work hand-in-hand with the engineering team. This person will also assist in electromechanical assembly needs in the shop.
Essential Functions
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Layout and drilling/cutting/tapping of industrial enclosures
- Installation of electrical components within industrial enclosures
- Panel wiring and labeling of components to UL508A standards
- Building of wiring harnesses
- Wiring of safety devices
- Light assembly of electromechanical actuators/gantries, 80/20 extruded aluminum designs, automation component kits, and other assemblies
- Quality control of electrical and electromechanical systems
- Potential onsite installation or field support of control panels and electromechanical assemblies
Competencies
- Print reading (electrical schematics and mechanical drawings)
- Measuring tool usage (micrometers, tape measure, thread gauges, etc)
- Hand tool and power tool usage
- Terminating wire (stripping/tinning/ferruling/crimping)
- Detail oriented and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word a plus
Work Environment
This job operates in our shop located in Conshohocken PA. This role may require limited travel throughout the region to visit customer sites. The role requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
- Five or more years direct experience in control panel wiring and electromechanical assembly
- High school diploma
- Electrical schematic and mechanical print reading
Preferred Education and Experience
- Trade school certificate or technical degree in electrical/electronic/electromechanical
- CNC milling machine operation
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
