Summary

The Electric Drive Component/System Test Engineer will be responsible for testing and analyzing electric drive components and systems, including motors, generators, and power electronics. They will work closely with the testing team and internal clients to define test details, modify DUTs, add instrumentation, execute testing, analyze data, and report out results. The Engineer will spend 70% of their time in the powertrain lab testing environment and 30% at a desk for data analysis and meetings.

You will have a Senior Engineer mentor to learn the role and be a key member of the testing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of electric drive components and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define test details for electric drive components/systems
• Coordinate modification of DUTs (Device under test)
• Add instrumentation to DUTs as necessary
• Execute testing and analyze data
• Report out test results and create technical reports
• Interact daily with testing team and design/controls internal clients
• Work in a powertrain lab testing environment

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Agricultural Engineering
• 1-4 years of experience

Skills Required

• Previous testing experience and demonstrated hands-on experience
• Prior product development experience
• Strong organization and attention to detail skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to facilitate meetings and technical discussions

• Experience with Data Acquisition System

Pay: $53,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
