Under general direction of the Health and Safety Manager, the EHS Program Coordinator will analyze and improve environmental health and safety programs, implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, and order supplies and other materials to ensure an effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Updates the Morgan EHS Framework to be in compliance with Morgan Standards, OSHA standards, and ISO14001 standards.
  • Responsible for Safety and Environmental manual updates and programs.
  • Monitors and promotes EHS initiatives such as Don’t Walk By, Take 5 for Safety, and thinkSAFE programs.
  • Monitors and documents the energy reduction initiatives.
  • Reports out weekly, monthly KPI detail.
  • Administers health and safety documentation for all areas of the company.
  • Maintains SDS programs and annual updates.
  • Ensures that safety data sheets are obtained for new products brought on site.
  • Responds to customer inquiries for SDS and REACH, ROhS and Conflict Mineral reporting documentation.
  • Tracks non-conformances until closure with appropriate documentation.
  • Tracks risk management activities, reporting and audits.
  • Compiles monthly data and inputs the information in daily and monthly reports
  • Administers the site EHS budget, generates invoices and tracks spending for the EHS department
  • Administers the employee engagement Go Pivot system
  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Prepares and schedules departmental safety training. Tracks the completion rates of training
  • Monitors site compliance with safety procedures and follows up with corrective actions if needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School/ GED
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety terms, policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess superior organization, communications, and critical thinking skills
  • Has the ability to communicate comfortably and perform presentations in a group setting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • OSHA 10 hour certification
  • Previous experience with training employees


Physical Requirements
: Must be capable of sitting and using a computer for a considerable portion of an 8-hours workday. Must be capable of walking throughout the facility and property to check on employees and equipment. Must be able to physically wear personal protective equipment such as, but limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, respirator and steel toe boots. Physically able to perform work/ able to occasionally lift 50-pound bags. Able to distinguish colors shifts/ correctable vision. Must be able to work in all weather conditions and withstand heat, cold, and wet conditions.
