MTNA Rainsville Plant (formerly Rainsville Technology, Inc.) is searching for an Environmental Health and Safety Administrator. The ideal candidate will help develop and implement safety programs and policies, train personnel on new protocols, and ensure that the organization is in compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
  • Ensure timely safety and environmental training education programs are conducted and documented
  • EHS reporting internally and externally with governmental agencies, parent company, and customer
  • Analyze statistical data and ensure proper countermeasure actions are taken
  • Collect samples of dust, gas, vapor, emissions, and noise for analysis and reporting
  • Maintain all Environmental and Safety Programs and documentation
  • Administer Workers Compensation plan
  • Conduct accident investigations, recommend/implement/follow-up on countermeasures
  • Conduct routine EHS audits
  • Serve as First Responder & Emergency Coordinator
  • Develop EHS action plans and budget, take actions, and monitor results
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirement
  • 3 years experience with certification/degree preferred
Experience and Knowledge
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Positive associate relations skills
  • Good organizational and presentation skills
  • Time management skills
  • Self motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Well developed communication skills
  • A minimum of 3 years prior experience in EHS for a manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Experience in OHSAS 18001 development & implementation
  • Prefer Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Must be willing and able to support all shifts and travel as needed
