Educational Assistant (full-time) – South Elementary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
One position available – seven (7) hours per day
Under the direction of the Principal or designee, this employee assists in the supervision, care and instruction of students in grades K-5 by monitoring student behavior, performing classroom tasks, providing information to appropriate school personnel, and assisting students on an Individual Education Program (IEP). Assist students in the social communications classroom.
PAY & BENEFITS
Beginning hourly rate: $15.34/hour and up, commensurate with related experience for regular employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Apply for and maintain a valid Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and meet one of the following criteria (1) hold an Associate’s degree or higher, (2) have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework, or (3) take a Paraprofessional exam.
