Summary

Assists with managing the Early Childhood Division including, assisting with all aspects of compliance and program regulation, accreditation, licensing, staffing, professional development, curriculum, quality control, parent, enrollment and grant reporting. Acts as a resource to the ECD team and in the Director?s absence, manages the Division

Duties

� Manages the day to day operations of a Childcare Center including, but not limited to, classroom staff.
� Works with the Assistant Director and Program Aide on enrollments and class placement
� Work with Director to Hire, supervises, observe, evaluate and coach all teaching staff
� Participates in staff training and development and discipline of ECD employees as appropriate.
� Manage recordkeeping associated with staff development and training requirements.
� Collaborates with classroom education staff to develop individual professional development plans for each staff member
� Create and organize school wide events
� Represents NOI/ECD at local, state, and national meetings when needed.
� Manages the Division in the Director?s absence.
� Provides classroom coverage and supervision as needed.
� Manages planning and implementing a DAP curriculum, in accordance with NAEYC Accreditation, School Readiness, CDC and licensing standards
� Maintain programs in accordance with NAEYC Accreditation, including submission of associated reports. Keep abreast of trends/changes in funding, regulation, and programming.
� Attend staff, personnel, and professional development meetings assigned, including, but not limited to, NOI and department or programmatic staff meetings.
� Reliably meet deadlines.
� Accept other responsibilities and projects as assigned

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field or a combination of documentable education and work experience.

Experience:
Knowledge of, and experience with, childcare licensing, accreditation, and school readiness standards preferred. Two years of supervisory experience required.
