POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Senior E-commerce Merchandiser, you will be responsible for best-in-class online merchandising to ensure that our website is optimized for assortment, placement, pricing, promotional and marketing efforts. You will also be responsible for product content, and ensure that online product catalogs are designed and maintained accurately on site. The primary focus is to drive conversion by optimizing the product and collection discovery experience to help meet our sales goals and strengthen our brand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs analysis of website performance, including product and category performance and visitor data.
  • Own digital merchandising process through optimizing assortment, pricing, and strategy.
  • Develop & analyze digital merchandising approaches to maximize conversion and sales for specific categories online.
  • Owns product data including descriptions, specifications, digital assets, and categorizations.
  • May participate in site testing and updates.
  • Enhance site navigation & manage categories by analyzing and optimizing path-to-product, page performance, category conversion, and top sellers.
  • Identify potential enhancements or changes based on your knowledge of the category, industry trends, and customer behaviors.
  • Responsible for category page experience - including merchandising sorts, content, filters & overall customer experience.
  • Directly manages the product content specialist to achieve eCommerce merchandising team tasks and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to analyze eCommerce sales for gaps and opportunities in product mix.
  • Develop assortment plans by identifying trends in categories as well monitor key metrics by channel.
  • Manage site sorting rules, search term optimization, and other commerce platform-related features that help drive conversion rates and provide a best-in-class retail experience.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce team and the Marketing Team to choose featured products.
  • Partner with the digital content team & marketing to create a compelling product experience & optimize site content via marketing channels ((i.e. email, home page content, social).
  • Develop and define recommendations for site enhancements to improve the customer experience through content presentation, navigation, and merchandising features.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in the utilization of site analysis tools
  • Strong prioritization skills & proven ability to successfully handle multiple tasks
  • Proven capability of developing, communicating, and executing strategic plans
  • Aptitude with learning new tools, developing strategies for use, and building and executing plans to use tools to support business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent planning & follow-up skills, including the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate & establish strong working relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & work efficiently under pressure
  • Passion for the eCommerce business and a desire to contribute to the growth and evolution of the company
  • Uses business knowledge, critical thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and efficiently, with strong attention to detail
  • generally independent and collaborative. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
  • Minimum of 4 or years of e-commerce merchandising or digital experience
  • Strong Experience with E-commerce platforms
  • Strong background in project management and delivery
  • Willingness to learn our industry (interior design experience is a big plus)
