The Senior Slot Technician (Primary position) who is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electronic slot equipment in a timely and efficient manner and for all installs, moves, removes, and modifications of all related stands, signage and machines, is called upon to fill the position of Slot Technical Shift Manager (Secondary position) when needed. Additional duties include the maintenance and repair of select equipment for the Finance and Table Games operations. This position requires performing the job duties throughout the SGC properties as needed. Traveling between or reporting to the other properties is a requirement for this position. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives and the Departments policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree or Certification in electronics from a credited school.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Slot Technician in a licensed jurisdiction.
  • Candidate must complete the internal testing and evaluation process of the approved SGC Slot Technical training program.
  • Exhibits superior communication skills.
  • Demonstrates basic management skills along with experience in providing training, technical direction and guidance to co-workers.
  • Experience in performing “bench level” electronic work.
  • Ability to perform various mathematical functions with regards to computing slot machines percentages and progressive calculations.


Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be capable of using various electronic test equipment and power tools
  • The Employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
