Make Extra $$$$ For All Year Or Just At The Holidays!
CALLING ALL DOG LOVERS! (Overnight Pet/House-Sitter)
Want some extra income or just extra $ for the holidays? We are looking for “As needed” Overnight House-sitters that want supplemental income.

Is this a good fit for you? Candidates should:

• Love Animals! You don't need prior animal work experience, but should enjoy providing companionship to dogs, cats and other little critters.
• Enjoy being outside in all four seasons and the weather that comes with them! (Rain, snow, heat, cold, wind...)
• Live near our service area: Because Heaven Sent does not compensate for travel time/commute, we are mainly interested in candidates who live in or near one of our service areas (Wilmette, Evanston, or Kenilworth). Candidates need to live or work within 10-20 miles of these service areas and/or be a 45 minute or less commute by car)
• Provide excellent customer service through personalized notes, photos, and messages
• Enjoy walking and are able to handle the activity level of walking dogs for 2-3 walks per day (minimum of 1-1½ hours). You must be able to do so with a focus on safety
• Have strength to safely control dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Requirements:

• OVERNIGHT STAYS: must sleep over in client's home with client's animals and be present in their home from 7pm-7am (at a minimum).
• Available Holidays: Spend time with your family & friends during our 3 major holidays and still get paid!!! (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). We need house-sitters to be available to house-sit during the entire week for at least 2 of our “Premium Holidays” (We need everyone for Christmas/New Year’s. 2nd holiday is either Thanksgiving or Spring Break)
• Equipment Needed: smartphone with data plan
• Transportation: you must have (1) reliable insured car (preferred) or (2) all weather bike/scooter (and comfortable riding in all types of weather AND We have found that biking only works if you live in one of our service areas.) or (3) access to public transportation. Using rideshares, like UBER or LYFT, services does not work for this position. Also your distance should be no more than a 45 minute or less commute by car.
• Background & References: must (1) be at least 21 years old; (2) provide references; and (3) submit previous employers for verification
• Pet Care: able to manage (1) all pet feedings & medications; (2) other tasks such as bringing in mail/newspaper, plant care, cleaning up messes (ie: hairballs, accidents), and (3) keeping the home in order while clients away.
