About the PositionThe Dog Bather is a fundamental position at Scenthound, offering quick and efficient services that meet Scenthound standards. With plans for multiple locations in Northwest suburbs in Illinois, if you desire growth, this is the role for you. This position requires:· At least 2 years of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school · Knowledge of dog breeds, their grooming and care standards, and tools of the trade· Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time· Reliable transportation · Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment Who We Are Looking For We are searching for a detail-oriented team member who has a passion for keeping dogs clean and healthy! A successful Dog Bather & Groomer is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, excited for personal growth and a compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a motived team member who may want to advance their career through our training path to become a Fulltime Scenthound Groomer! Tasks· Clean and prep dogs for grooming, according to the order ticketo Bathe, blow dry, clip/ grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands · Groom to Scenthound standards· Identify dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app· Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times· Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices · Work on a team to complete the services ordered· Assist others/ Ask others for assistance when needed to keep Scenter on schedule· Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager Skills and Abilities· Dog Control· Effective communication with team members and dog parents· Teamwork and collaboration· Problem-solving· Attention to detail· Time-management· Patience· Ability to self-critique; hold oneself and others to Scenthound standards Benefits· Direct career growth path to become a full-time Groomer and beyond· Competitive hourly base pay, plus participation in tip pool· Closed Sunday (all except 2 or 3 per year due to customer demand)· Full time workers (40 Hours per week) eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits· Merit-based pay increases· Paid Time Off (PTO) for full-time and part time employees· No late evening hours Interested to work in a Woman Owned Small Business?
