Bonnell Aluminum is actively seeking a results-oriented Division Controller who will report to the Vice President, Finance in the Newnan, Georgia – Corporate Office. The Division Controller will be responsible for directing all accounting functions of Bonnell Aluminum, thereby assuring the integrity of the accounting function as well as supporting and influencing decision-making and the direction of the Company. Highly motivated and team-oriented, this person will possess an excellent knowledge of U.S. accounting practices and strong supervisory skills. The Controller will have the ability to balance detailed transactional work with large-scale accounting projects.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Manage accounting functions for Bonnell Aluminum’s manufacturing sites, including the monthly closing processes, resulting in timely and accurate financial reports for both internal and external users. Assume control and ownership of related accounting information systems. Analyze and effectively communicate financial results and trends to senior management and other users.
  • Analyze financial data ensuring financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Research accounting issues and in collaboration with Division Accounting Manager and Sox Director, recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Establish, implement, and ensure adherence to accounting policies/playbook for Bonnell Aluminum.
  • Collaborate with Sox Director to identify, resolve and document compliance processes for Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act and U.S. GAAP technical issues impacting accounting and financial reporting for Bonnell Aluminum, and debrief senior management and the external auditors, as requested, on the positions taken relative to such matters.
  • Assist with the coordination of the development, design and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements throughout Bonnell with a focus on controls and procedures, process efficiencies, and system enhancements.
  • Oversee Plant Controllers in satisfaction of the above duties.
  • Oversee and ensure successful implementation and ongoing administration of the accounting functions within the Oracle Cloud system for each of the sites.
  • Maintain knowledge of business operations in order to understand the impact of business events on financial performance and external reporting requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required to promote overall system improvements, process efficiencies and effectiveness as well as overall customer satisfaction.

What You'll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with extensive accounting experience with multi-site manufacturing organizations of similar or greater scale as Bonnell
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 8-12 years of accounting/financial reporting experience required, including advanced knowledge of GAAP in a multi-entity environment and previous experience in SOX compliance activities.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to understand and drive assessment of issues in GAAP and SEC reporting including disclosure requirements.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), analytical, organization, planning and project management skills.
  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting-related software; specific experience with JD Edwards, Oracle, and Hyperion a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and interaction between financial and other systems.
  • Ability to recognize financial and tax issues that require contacting appropriate resources in Bonnell and Tredegar.
  • Ability to identify and implement process and other improvements, partnering with others as needed.
  • Willingness to go beyond past experiences and seek out additional commitments in support of financial team’s objectives.
