We sell residential and commercial door locks and hardware to lumberyards, millworks, hardware showrooms and other retailers. Since 1962, our company has partnered with leading hardware brands such as Kwikset, Baldwin and Schlage.
Our company is also the exclusive wholesale distributor of Stone Harbor Hardware. Our distribution center also fulfills e-commerce orders.

Summary: Jeske Hardware Distributors is looking for a manager for our 32,000 square foot distribution center in Sparks, NV. We also have a location in Southaven, MS and Appleton, WI.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position depends on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for someone who can lead in these areas:

1. Managing our distribution center team including day-to-day operations, hiring, and firing.
2. Overseeing all warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
3. Coordinating with service providers to maintain equipment and facility.
4. Purchasing warehouse supplies.
5. Maintain relationships with LTL freight companies.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training in management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises approximately 5 non-supervisory employees
(the number of employees will increase over time). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and internet software. Possess the ability to learn our operating system (NetSuite, Shiphawk, and RF Smart).

Physical Requirements: The Distribution Center Manager is active throughout their day. The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and use a warehouse lift at all heights with a safety harness. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
