Millhouse by Moonraker Brewing Co. is looking for Prep Cooks/Dishwashers to join our growing team!

We are searching for attentive, ambitious, and engaged individuals to support a high volume restaurant program. You will be accountable to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. Additionally, you may work with our Beertenders on front of house (FOH) collaboration and success. You must present yourself in a neat, clean, and professional manner. This includes clean uniform and exceptional personal hygiene standards.

Our new location - opening soon - is located at 3501 Robin Lane, Cameron Park, CA 95682. This fully appointed, brand new kitchen will be a cook’s dream! The kitchen features a state of the art pizza oven, open floor plan, and great views of our 9000 sq. ft. beer garden. It is important to us that our team enjoys coming to work every day, and is proud to serve our community. This will be a clean, safe, and welcoming environment with positive attitudes all around.

Responsibilities

*Proper food safety handling and sanitation practices *Maintain cleanliness of back of house (BOH) *Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule; including deep cleaning protocol *Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes *Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking *Weigh and measure ingredients *Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables *Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces *Label stock and inventory all ingredients *Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas *Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans using dishwashers or by hand *Maintain a clean and tidy work area *Follow health and safety guidelines *Sort and stack clean dishes *Carry clean dishes to proper storage areas *Adhere to a weekly schedule

Qualifications

*Must have California Food Handler certification *Strong attention to detail and organizational skills *Hardworking & passionate about teamwork *Willingness to learn and grow as a team member *Proper and safe handling of kitchen equipment *Ability to follow prep instructions and recipes *Proper weighing, measuring, and knowledge of ingredients *Comfortable working and communicating under pressure *Ability to stand for long periods of time (3-8 hours) *Ability to lift and move 50 lbs at a time *Previous kitchen/prep/cook experience is a plus *Experience with pizza and dough prep is a plus *Knowledge and/or passion for the brewing industry is also a plus!

The starting pay for this position is $17/hour. We are hiring for part time and few full time positions. Benefits are available for full time employees.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $17.00/hour.
