Gilbertsville Farmhouse is a resort-style wedding venue specializing in weekend weddings located in Central NY (45 minutes from Cooperstown, NY, and 25 minutes from Oneonta, NY).

We are looking for a DISHWASHER/KITCHEN HELPER to work in our commercial kitchen, alongside our Executive Chef and Sous Chef. DISHWASHER/HELPER plays a key role in keeping the Gilbertsville Farmhouse kitchen running cleanly and smoothly. They insure that dishes are washed quickly and sanitized, so they are ready for use and stored properly. This is important in our event style environment, where client turnover is quick and the kitchen and event center is fast paced. They will also contribute to other tasks in the kitchen to assist with the overall workflow under the direction of the Executive Chef. A good DISHWASHER/HELPER does not slow production down. Instead they maximize it by supporting the chefs and servers. A DISHWASHER manages their time well and ensures that the kitchen is always ready for next steps, and keeps up with the fast-paced environment of a busy kitchen.

Schedule varies week to week. Most hours are during our season May 1st - November 30th. WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED. Flexible hours begin off-season.

Dishwasher Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Must be able to stand on feet for long hours (breaks included), able to lift 40 lbs at a time, be open-minded and willing to learn new skills while following directions.

Hourly pay.

Must have own transportation.

Must have positive and pleasant disposition, and work well under pressure.
