Position Summary:

Peachtree Catering and Events, a catering and event production firm in Radnor, Pennsylvania, is looking for kitchen professionals to join our team. Candidates must work with efficiency, professionalism, awareness & initiative. In this role, they will learn to prepare foods from various cuisines, use seasonal and local ingredients, and become part of a lively family-oriented operation. Peachtree caters to an expansive clientele at four exclusive venues as well as off-premise catering events. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who is interested in broadening their cooking skills and learning closely from a privately owned catering operation.

This position is responsible for performing cleaning, set up and storage activities such as but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, and storage and rotation of food and cleaning supplies. Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dishwasher, three-bay sinks, laundry machine and dryer, fryer, ovens, grills etc.
• Wash and disinfect the kitchen and tables, tools, knives, and equipment
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
• Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
• Sort, soak, spray and wash silverware, small wares, china, glassware, cookware
• Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
• Sweeping and mopping
• Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Able to work effectively under time constraints
• Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Able to maintain a clean and organized work area
