The Opportunity
The Student Portal Content Director is responsible for content development, oversight and governance of SNHU's student-facing portal. Specifically, you will work with student-facing teams to develop portal content designed to increase student engagement, improve and lead re-enrollments. The content Director will help work with Student Experience Leadership and managing a team of three full-time professionals.
You will report to the AVP, Student Experience Marketing Communications and work with other members of the Student Experience Marketing Communications team, including communications, email and social media, and throughout the University with Advising, Academics, Career, Student Involvement and others.
You will:
  • Provide a unified and organized view of learner portal content across departments and place a high focus on maintaining brand consistency and integration with message, tone and voice.
  • Plan, prioritize and develop brand-appropriate, engaging student-facing content representative of all interests and departments
  • Work in collaboration with team members across all student-facing departments to identify content needs and audience segmentation
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to brand guidelines based on established governance plan
  • Manage ongoing Portal maintenance, including routine updates, adjustments based on learner engagement
  • Conduct quarterly reviews and audits to assess engagement levels and referral traffic to make enhancement recommendations
  • Improve content, layout and integration to improve the student engagement rates and re-enrollments
  • Identify opportunities to integrate other marketing channels to build multi-touch campaigns based on student behavior.
  • Ensure accuracy in audience targeting and content delivery
  • Maintain compliance with CMS quality assurance and publishing process
  • Manage an accessible content calendar and ensure shared understanding across the department
  • Demonstrate a shared understanding across the department and team members, an understanding of the student life cycle, and a desire to grow as part of an integrated team.
  • Collaborate across teams and departments
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in marketing or communications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Experience developing marketing and communication strategies and campaigns
  • Follow writing conventions and AP style
  • 1 + years of experience in CMS and CRM platforms, specifically Salesforce
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience understanding and using data in decision-making
  • Understanding of the student lifecycle
  • Working knowledge Google Analytics and Power BI
  • Leadership and staff management and mentoring experience
