Short Description

The Director of Regulatory Affairs and Accreditation is a professional with excellent attention to detail who possesses strong organization and communication skills. The Director is responsible for assisting the Assistant Vice President of Regulatory & Patient Safety in planning, facilitating, administering and monitoring all aspects of continuous survey readiness.

The Director will be responsible for the day to day activities to enhance institutional compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Responsibile for the daily management and oversight of specific aspects of the monitoring function; facilitate meetings with work group leaders to identify areas of opportunity and strategies to sustain improvements.

Review of monitoring data with recommendations for improvement; developing and maintaining spreadsheets for regulatory compliance. Review of policies and procedures for appropriate regulatory content. Promotion of a just culture; all related job duties as assigned. The Director has direct oversight of ambulatory regulatory/safety coordinator, inpatient regulatory /safety coordinator and Policy Administrator roles and responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills are essential. Atttention to detail and proactive approach to process improvement is essential

Experience Required

Five (5) years experience in an acute care hospital required. Previous experience in regulatory & accreditation is preferred.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Preferred

License/Certification Requirements

Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. 2-5 years in an Administrative role. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30a-4p; Education:BACHELOR Preferred; Education:MASTERS Preferred
