Job description
The Director of Nutritional Services will oversee, plan, organize, develop, and direct the organization’s nutritional services operations. They will work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team and the Registered Dietician to meet the needs of our residents and tenants and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional operations of the organization.
- Create dietary schedules for the department.
- Complete required section of the MDS.
- Create and update job descriptions and ensure staff competencies.
- Ensure sufficient staffing by filling or working open shifts.
- Member of the Interdisciplinary Team and attends various facility meetings.
- Assist with food and supply ordering as well as monitoring inventory.
- Respond to resident and family concerns.
- Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and disciplining of employees.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local food service regulations.
- Create necessary reports and track applicable data.
- Assist with menu preparation and ensure diets are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in dietary is preferred.
- Leadership/management experience preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) licensure is required. The successful candidate will need to complete this required training and obtain certification.
- ServSafe certification is required. The successful candidate will need to obtain ServSafe certification within one year of hire.
- Must be able to complete and pass a background check.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 OR request and be approved for an exemption.
