This is a remote position with required travel to company headquarters in Austin, TX and overseas to manufacturing sites.


What is Offered:

  • Salary range: $210,000-250,000 DOE
  • Medical Benefits:
    • Blue Cross Blue Shield employee premiums are paid by Employer. Dependent coverage is available with specific premiums paid by employee.
    • Dental: Both employee and dependent dental insurance are available with low monthly premiums paid by the employee
    • Vision: Premiums are paid by the employee

    • Life insurance: $50,000 of term life insurance is provided for each employee
    • Disability: Short and long term disability insurance is provided for each employee
    • 401k: Company will match dollar to dollar up to 4% of the salary per pay period after your first 90 days with the company.
    • Sick Leave days: 96 hours of sick leave time is provided. Sick days accrue at the rate of one day per month of service. Annual sick leave is not accrued from year to year.

Primary Function:

As the Director of Manufacturing Operations in the fabless semiconductor industry, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production, quality control, supply chain, logistics, and outsourced manufacturing partners. You will work with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget.


Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the manufacturing operations for fabless semiconductor design.
  • Oversee the outsourced manufacturing partners, ensuring that products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that manufacturing operations comply with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and manage the annual manufacturing budget and monitor and control expenses to ensure that they remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals, providing coaching and mentoring to enable them to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and sales, to ensure that products meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and outsourced manufacturing partners.


Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)


  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply chain, or Operations Management, or related field.
  • Master of Business Administration a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the fabless semiconductor industry.
  • Experience managing outsourced manufacturing partners and supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling expenses.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and environmental and safety regulations.
  • Pass a post-offer background verification.


Work Environment

Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers.
