As Director of Fulfillment Operations, you will oversee and manage the operations of the distribution center, inventory and freight logistics. Managing, training and develop a highly cohesive team of supervisory, professional, and hourly employees. You will be responsible to develop and execute policies and procedures to ensure a continuous improvement environment measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) including labor and productivity metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire and lead distribution center manager, inventory manager, and freight logistics analyst.
Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the fulfillment operations team.
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and document processes, procedures and industry best practices for the distribution center to provide a variety of services including warehousing, pick, pack and ship, receiving and kitting.
Plan, implement and control the efficient, effective flow of how goods, services and related information are acquired, stored and transported.
Identify, implement, and analyze key metrics to ensure established goals are met in the areas of performance, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction within budget.
Responsible for managing the P&L statement for the Distribution Center.
Gather needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for transportation, just-in-time shipping, distribution, and fulfillment.
Builds and maintains relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new services and further expansion of logistics facility.
Develops and maintains a companywide distribution strategy.
Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues.
Initiate and coordinate major projects in the distribution center, such as layout changes, equipment and space needs and utilization, capital expenses and major repairs.
Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing and reporting activity in the Distribution Center.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
Maintains current knowledge of logistics, inventory and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients.
Manages our companywide small parcel, LTL and other shipping agreements and works with the sales associates to maximize use of these agreements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly leads 2-3 employees in inventory and distribution and oversees inventory and distribution center teams.

Education and/or Experience

Required: Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field plus minimum of 10 years related experience with an emphasis in distribution center, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field plus minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
