What's The Position?

The Director of Financial Planning and Operations leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and business strategic analysis functions. This position collaborates with an interdisciplinary team (from Operations, Performance Improvement, Human Resources, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Financial Planning, Information Technology etc.) to ensure the efficient management of the organization, including all subsidiaries and affiliates, and focuses on conducting financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. He/She is a key contributor toward achieving the overall mission, goals, and objectives for each regional/business unit and the organization as a whole, measuring performance against financial goals and objectives and coaching interdisciplinary teams on the efficient use of resources to maximize financial return.

What Are The Job Responsibilities?

  • Partner with Corporate and Regional Operational Leaders to optimize both financial and operational performance of each Region/Business Unit/Program.
  • Identify trends, analyze metrics and where needed, develops and communicates strategic initiatives to ensure continued improved operational processes and key performance indicators within all areas of the organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Annual Corporate & Regional Budget process together with the Operational leadership teams.
  • Reviews monthly regional budget variances and communicates results to Regional and Corporate Operations Leaders. Initiates corrective action plans where appropriate.
  • Supports Centralized Finance and Operations Teams with report requests on an ad hoc basis.
  • Supports Centralized Finance Team during month end close reviews, and to ensure most recent operational information is captured timely in the monthly/quarterly/annual financial results.
  • Responsible for creating region forecasts and projections, if needed and develops & reviews proformas for new program proposals.
  • Supports Merger & Acquisition Due Diligence activities and implementation of new programs, where needed.
  • Maintains a strict level of confidentiality for all company, departmental, and healthcare provider information
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Master's Degree or CPA is preferred.
  • You have at least 7 years progressive financial operations leadership with at least 5 years within a healthcare organization.
  • You have prior experience in or exposure to Healthcare Revenue Cycle.
