Job Profile Summary: Grows and builds strategies to integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B) across the enterprise. Influences business unit leaders to support DEI&B initiatives, manages operational partnerships, and implements process improvements. Provides best-practice insight for DEI&B programs and policies. Develops critical relationships with senior leaders across the organization to influence and partner on DEI&B initiatives.
Job Description:


Principle Responsibilities

  • Leads the integration and alignment of DEI&B Operations
    • Assesses hospital and business unit readiness to implement system programs at the local level.
    • Leads the system DEI&B Analytics committee monthly meetings.
    • Provides counsel and oversight to business unit/clinical operation committees.
    • Partners with team members to establish the plan and approach for integrating DEI&B.
  • Manages the reporting of system scorecard and analytics (brand & communications)
    • Manages the review process and distribution of monthly scorecard with senior leaders and board.
    • Provides consultative advice on diversity and inclusion programs, policies, and processes to business and hospital operations leaders.
    • Monitors and grows the DEI&B brand and communication initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Connects with community groups on behalf of Allina Health’s DEI&B commitments
    • Builds diverse community partnerships to advance our DEI&B commitments and visibility.
  • Supervise additional staff within the DEI&B team
    • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, psychology, public health administration, or a related field required
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration/Human Resources psychology or public health administration preferred
  • 7+ years experience with leading or managing DEI&B initiatives preferably in a hospital setting, communication plans and vision with both internal and external audiences and implementing DEI&B best practices and key initiatives, including ERGs, DEI&B committees, and reporting
    required
  • 7 to 10 years of experience managing staff and or volunteers and providing direct supervision of staff and working with a large population of staff and leaders who are volunteering and supporting DEI&B across the organization required

Position Location

This Leader position is primarily work-from-home, but the ability to work onsite at the Allina Commons in Minneapolis and across our local service area to build relationships, participate in planning and influence process will be required. Candidates should anticipate onsite work approximately 4-8 times/month.
