Job description
The Director, Diversity and People Experience Initiatives will champion two critical priorities at Model N: our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) and Employee Experience (EEX) programs. This role will be a hands-on opportunity to help shape and execute the roadmap to make progress against our 5-year diversity goals and to also play a critical role in listening to our employees and translating their feedback into insights and recommendations for creating a best place to work. This highly visible role will work closely with People Team leaders, HR Business Partners, executives, and business leaders across the company to create, implement, and evaluate impactful DEIB and employee experience strategies and programs that will make our company a more diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel heard, supported, and valued for their work.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze data to help identify trends, insights, and gaps to inform DEIB and EEX strategies; develop and insightfully report out on metrics that measure progress and effectiveness and drive accountability
  • Establish strong partnerships within People Team and across the business to develop and execute on strategic action plan to attract, grow, and retain diverse talent and to create an environment that is a best-in -class experience for our employees
  • Set the vision for and provide guidance and direction to Model N’s Global Diversity Council, employee resource groups, and mentoring program
  • Provide critical partnership on DEIB education and learning initiatives to further enhance Model N’s DEIB capabilities through employee education and empowerment
  • Lead our quarterly employee experience survey process, including analyzing feedback and delivering insights on trends to key People team and business stakeholders
  • Monitor other sources of employee feedback (e.g., new hire surveys, exit surveys, etc.) to tap into the pulse of our employees, glean insights from their feedback and ensure these data points are translated into action items for the People Team and the business
  • Work closely with internal People Analytics colleagues to ensure that DEIB and EEX metrics are consistently reported on across all communication channels
  • Support wellness, philanthropy, and recognition program strategies that support our employees and align with our core values and DEIB practices
  • Coach and mentor our Sr. Manager, Employee Experience & Inclusion Programs
Ensure thoughtful and effective delivery of external reporting such as the annual ESG report and EEO-1 reporting.
  • In partnership with our Corporate Communications team, design communications and deliver presentations to authentically and intentional share the organization’s DEIB and EEX, both internally and externally
  • Identify external trends, data, and best practices to influence and support organizational change
  • Act as a genuine and trusted DEIB and EEX advocate for employees and a change champion for the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Leadership, Business, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in HR, preferably as an HRBP or L&D professional, preferably with a minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on diversity and inclusion and/or employee experience
  • A successful track record of synthesizing data, and using analytics to prepare and deliver strategic presentations to executive audiences
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity
  • Prior management skills preferred, not required
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and influencing without direct authority
  • High working proficiency in Office 365 tools especially PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Travel may be required to any of our global offices, up to 25%
At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
