Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 122 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best non-alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Corporate Director of Commercialization is responsible for the commercial readiness plan, which integrates Buffalo Rock’s marketing plan with the sales team to ensure our strategy is implemented seamlessly across channels and regions to deliver transformational growth. The responsibility spans from commercial strategy conception to leading a multitude of partners to deliver robust and measurable execution in store.

Essential functions

· Drives and leads retail strategy and commercial planning.

· Develops bottom funnel marketing strategy and commercial readiness plan (inclusive of contextualized performance marketing, trade marketing, local brand programming, market expansion plan and trade/sales) that ladders back to brand strategy.

· Manages Corporate Advertising (Rocky).

· Leads development of tools and initiative tracking for driving key launch success criteria (campaign performance reporting, analysis, and optimization), best-in-class execution and project close-outs and post-launch reviews.

· Leads trade marketing toolkit development (merchandising standards) and internal product lifecycle.

· Provide and facilitate feedback loop to marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure translation and successful commercialization of brand strategies into channel/customer-oriented initiatives.

· Collaborates with Franchise General Sales Managers – Retail, Regional General Sales Managers – On Premise and Retail Sales Managers to ensure the application of key category plans into channel commercial plans, identify gaps and opportunities and work toward annual must win battles.

· Collaborates with Corporate Marketing Equipment (CME) to develop scalable retail solutions to commercialize strategic brand initiatives and secure priority point of inspirations.

· As project manager, collaborates with Supply Chain on forecasting requirements through iterative process and secures launch demand requirements for innovation, product/package expansions and programs across a designated brand or package portfolio.

· Manages situation assessment to identify key long- and short-term strategic channel/customer commercialization opportunities for region (i.e., Gen Z recruitment, Multicultural, etc.).

· Serves as the primary source of commercial operations feedback to the brand teams from corporate, franchises and customers.

· Assist in the AOP process, and work with franchises to conduct key planning sessions assisting with development of short- and long-term plans to support portfolio and brand growth targets.

· Must be a highly proficient communicator who can distill sophisticated material into practical insights and takeaways to drive action both verbally and through PowerPoint.

· Results-oriented with proven track record of implementing time saving routines and delivering sustainable change collaboratively and cross functionally within a large organization.

· Working knowledge of supply chain and forecasting processes.

· Proven track record of ability to not only embrace change – but drive it.

· Planning experience; strategic thinking (forward-looking vision and anticipating of future needs).

· Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels; communicates long-term vision and shorter-term opportunities through rapid, clear & concise messages.

· Strong relationship building and influencing skills across brand teams as well as external communications partner agencies.

· Comfortable in working in ambiguity and white space and ability to build and articulate a vision and customize to particular brand, customer, or channel needs.

· Required to complete other activities assigned.

· Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.

· Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.

· Must have knowledge of a wide range of computer software programs with a broad ability and willingness to acquire new skills.

· Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.

Required education and experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Management or 8 years of relevant work experience in a related field: Required

· Must have a t least 5 years of management experience in trade marketing, regional field sales, or retail sales: Required

· Must have advanced experience in/application of Microsoft Office 365 products required including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.: Required

· Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.) or WordPress: Preferred

· Driver's License with a good driving record (MVR): Required.
