POSITION PURPOSE This position reports to Ontic Creedmoor Site Director and is responsible for the Value Stream P&L. This position works closely with all functional areas of the business such as Estimating, Program Management, Customer Service, Contracts, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality. This role is accountable for achieving the employee engagement, customer deliver, revenue, profit, cash, and organic growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB OBJECTIVES AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Ability to set priorities for a cross functional team that has an indirect reporting relationship.
- Ability to achieve budget and stretch targets (i.e. revenue, profitability, on-time delivery, RFQ turn-time, etc.)
- Pro-actively resolve customer concerns and escalate as necessary in support of building and maintaining high levels of Customer Satisfaction.
- Continuous improvement of business unit and enterprise processes.
- Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties in a matrix environment.
- Hold productive team meetings with clear action items and deliverables.
- Support annual budget and periodic forecast process.
- Play an active role in business development by partnering with the sales and marketing teams to build a healthy customer backlog.
- Responsibly for team talent and performance management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in an executive leadership role with direct reports
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, industrial management, marketing, organization and & management or procurement
- MBA preferable
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Government contracting experience, FARs & DFARs, as well as pre-award and post-award fundamentals. Value Stream Director- Government
• Demonstrated experience managing quotations exceeding the TINA threshold. • Experience managing contracts containing first article testing (FAT), production lot testing (PLT), and government source inspection (GSI) requirements.
- Experience with submitting supplier approval request (SAR) packages.
- Brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset to the role, with a solid focus on growing the business in a profitable manner.
- Ability to support and play an active role in the safety culture.
- Propose and maintain a clear medium- and long-term growth strategy (revenue & profitability) for the business unit.
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the aviation industry and how various components of the industry fit together successfully.
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes, estimating, procurement, and quality.
- Possesses the operational experience and knowledge required to quickly identify and analyze opportunities and how they might benefit the company.
- In depth knowledge of AS9100.
• Able to apply sound commercial and financial experience. • Competent in the use of Microsoft ® applications and familiar with business systems.
