We are interested in people who are inspired and passionate to help others in need. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Home of Guiding Hands, you are a part of the improvements, changes, and accomplishments our clients achieve every day.

Direct Support Professionals assist clients with:
  • Community Outings and Therapies
  • Exercise and Health
  • Cooking and Household Duties
  • Hygiene Related Tasks - Bathing/Showering, Toileting, Tooth Brushing, etc.
  • Building Relationships

The Residential program is our largest and longest-running program. There are 30 residential locations we assist and care for, and each home can care for up to 6 people. We have positively impacted thousands of people with special needs and their families within the community.

Our Location:
Our residential locations are spread out within East County San Diego. It is an estimate of no more than 20 miles from our main office in El Cajon. Location assignments are discussed within the interview process.
Schedules Available - Full-time and On-Call positions:
  • AM shift : 6 am- 2 pm
  • PM shifts: 2 pm- 8 pm or 2 pm- 10 pm
  • NOC shift: 10 pm- 6 am
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • 18 years or older
  • Valid Driver's License with 24 months of driving experience (preferred)
As an agency, we fall under the California mandate and Public Heath Order and have a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination policy that requires all of our employees to be fully vaccinated, including boosters. Applicants and employees may request an exemption from this requirement for medical or religious reasons. Such exemptions are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
