BARC Developmental Services is a not-for-profit agency serving Bucks County Pennsylvania individuals and families since 1951. We are currently hiring for the position of Direct support professional-URH in our Residential Services Department, this position is available in Bucks County, PA in our area home. We are currently offering a Sign On Bonus for all newly hired Full-Time Staff. This will be paid out incrementally over the first year of employment.

The Direct Support Professional- URH is responsible to provide direct personal care through assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities in meeting their daily needs by scheduling events, providing transportation with agency vehicle and carrying out duties within the philosophy of a therapeutic environment, and comply with agency behavior planning. The Direct care professional- URH works primarily during daytime hours 9-2 or 12-5 with flexibility for early am and later pm coverage as needed. You will work varying days Monday through Friday, and every Saturday required for bowling. This is a Part time, Non-benefited position - 25 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Must have had a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and have an acceptable driving record according to agency policy.

· Six months previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities

· Good communication skills and computer experience

· Able to learn and become certified in CPR and First Aid

· Background checks are done on all applicants

The starting rate for the Direct support professional- URH position is $17.63 to $18.59 per hour based on amount of experience in Human Service/ direct support related positions.
