DIGITAL CINEMA TECHNICIAN

Film-Tech Cinema Systems is seeking an experienced digital cinema technician to be based out of Richardson, TX. This position includes scheduled periods of time both in office and on call.

Responsibilities include:
- On site preventative maintenance of cinema projection, sound, and ancillary equipment
- On site troubleshooting and repair
- On site installation of new equipment
- Communicating with our support partners
- Logging and managing tickets related to service work
- This position also includes some maintenance work around our office and work on some equipment in our film processing division

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
-Possess knowledge and proficiency with commercial Digital Cinema equipment, including Christie, Barco, NEC, Sony, Dolby/Doremi, GDC, QSC/USL, etc.

Candidates must:
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and very occasional overnights
- Be prepared for out of town travel and possess a current passport (contiguous USA and Canada)
- Have basic understanding of computer networking
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Be mechanically inclined
- Be able to work in small confined spaces
- Be proficient with low voltage wiring and termination
- Have basic understanding of electrical/wiring for high voltage commercial work
- Be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Physically able to do work involving pushing, pulling, walking, crawling, bending, stretching, reaching, squatting, twisting, standing, using stairs, using ladder or scaffold up to 30ft
- Maintain professional and courteous demeanor with clients and partners
- Live in or be able to relocate to or near the Richardson, TX area

Our unique in industry approach includes remote support representatives working closely with on site field technicians to maintain top in industry reliability and up time for our cinema customers.
