Now Hiring: Dietary Services Supervisor

The Dietary Supervisor evaluates dietary staff on at least an annual basis, Inspects the kitchen daily to maintain required levels of cleanliness, and Checks all refrigeration units weekly for storage of food items. The Dietary Supervisor oversees the production of all food served from the kitchen to patients, guests, and hospital personnel as well as manages personnel through hiring and training, and conducts proper counseling and disciplinary action as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director with the day-to-day operations of Patient Food Services
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of patient meal delivery and service
  • Assure employees are trained in all aspects of department and hospital operations pertinent to their jobs
  • Manage integration of Dietary services with Nursing unit operations collaboratively with Patient Dining Service Manager
  • Performs any or all of the duties in the kitchen, tray line, cafeteria, and dish rooms as required by staffing variances
  • General knowledge of modified diets and the ability to read and follow a diet spreadsheet is required
  • Ordering supplies, following par levels
  • Assisting the Director of Food & Nutrition Services with monthly reports
  • Assist the Director with the preparation of the Staff Schedule
  • Coordinates timeliness of food preparation, service, distribution, and cleaning

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in a nursing facility or two years of food service experience
  • Associate of Arts Degree in Food Management, Dietetics, or related field preferred
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or with an exemption
