Since our beginning in 1887, we at The Chapman House have provided the finest in assisted living for women.

Dietary Aid Responsibilities:

Perform essential functions related to preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks:

• Takes meal order from resident and delivers meal
• Makes coffee/hot water for tea
• Fills and replenishes condiments as necessary
• Assists in serving residents
• Clears tables, washes dishes, washes and wipes tables
• Sets up and delivers meal trays to resident’s rooms as needed
• Prepares snacks/snack tray and serves refreshments in dining room.
• Assists with cutting resident’s food before it leaves the kitchen to the dining room if needed

Maintaining an orderly and sanitary dining room and kitchen area
Assist with meal clean up, including washing, drying and storing dishes
Clear tables, clean/sanitize tables and chairs, wipe and dry all surfaces

Experience and Skill Requirements:

· At least six months of prior related experience preferred.

· Ability to follow verbal instructions and written policies/protocols after proper training and orientation.

· Ability to follow written menus.

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

· High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.

· Familiarity with basic food preparation and clean up. The ability to be trained in other areas relating to functions of the job.

· Understanding relating to special diet restrictions.
