Hope Christian Services serves more than 110 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in the spirit of Christian love, the residential facility opened in December 1972. It expanded into the community in 1986 with the development of group homes, where residents enjoy supervised supported living. In 1992 the organization advanced its philosophy of providing home-like settings for residents with the construction of on-site lodges. Hope Christian Services currently operates 13 facilities in Bergen and Passaic Counties and is seeking qualified candidates for the open Dietary Aide position. As the Dietary Aide, you will assist cooks by washing all kitchen utensils, maintaining clean kitchen environment, and assist with simple food preparation. The right candidate will be able to multi-task, have exceptional organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication.

Reports to: Food and Facilities Manager

Shift: 8:00am-2:00pm or1:00pm-5:00pm

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to lift heavy kitchen utensils
• Must be able to stand, bend and reach into bottom of large sink
• Attend all required HCS Orientation & Inservices
• Demonstrate ability to follow directions
• Must submit to a criminal background check and be deemed qualified by the Department of Human Services prior to hire.
• Employee shall submit to drug testing prior to employment.
• Must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Child Abuse Registry Information
• All other duties as assigned
