DIE MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER- 2ND SHIFT
Job description
The Die Maintenance Shift Leader is responsible for providing the department support by ensuring a safe and productive work environment for all team members on the shift.
Essential Functions:
Follow the job instructions provided by the Production Supervisor and or Coordinator.
Assists in scheduling daily production staffing of machines and workstations.
Verifies that daily job performance standards are being attained.
Immediately inform the supervisor or quality department of any visual and/or physical defects in production product.
Verifies proper documentation of all reports.
Assists the supervisor and maintenance or QA staff when necessary.
Assists in training employees on quality and/or other criteria.
Able to operate and teach how to operate caustic system, floor work and has some welding experience in die repairs.
Can coordinate the daily tasks needed and ensure the work been performed in the proper order.
Completes process audits as specified.
Does hourly monitoring of work being performed and assists in maximizing use of employee’s time.
Maintain a productive working environment by promoting excellent communication and cooperation as well as maintaining positive habits and attitudes.
Take action to promptly correct or remove or report all workplace hazards and unsafe work conditions.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to motivate people.
- Must have ability to work under pressure.
- Must have 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have effective human relations skills.
- Must have computer experience (Windows, Microsoft Office).
- Good written and oral communication skills including interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate ability to promote excellent communication and cooperation.
