Who we are

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to support our work in Warner Robins, GA. As the organizational expert in the field, the DevOps Support Engineer provides technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, and effectiveness analyses for new and existing Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies. Plans, conducts, and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. The DevOps Support Engineer works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations to perform functional analyses, timeline analyses, and detail trade studies. The DevOps Support Engineer will review system designs and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Recognized within HII and the technical community as an authority in one or more technical specialties. Will be fully involved in DevOps process development, with specialty in product management for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate system designs and develop system documentation of architectures.
  • Integrate applications software, and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with designers and/or other engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of system architectures for prototype systems.
  • Develop system output requirements, input data acquisition methods, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Maintains a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise.
  • Advises program managers on challenging technical issues, coordinates the use of senior technical resources across the organization on multi-disciplinary problems.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2 years of experience; OR Master’s degree in related field with no experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with control systems and/or control theory.
  • Experience with work processes and optimization methods.
