Seeking a Software Engineer in the role of Development Operations. The Engineer will develop, maintain and support DevOps tools and pipelines for space qualified avionics and test software engineering. This position requires a collaborative software engineer skilled with a variety of Linux based DevOps tools, virtualization, and preferably experience with Linux System Administration. Highly qualified candidates will lead implementation and improvement of DevOps systems, tools, and pipelines.
- The engineer will coordinate with IT departments and teammates to develop, upgrade. maintain, and document a variety of DevOps systems.
- The engineer will support new project creation and implementation of software build scripts and pipelines for multiple platforms, including Linux, Windows, and VxWorks.
- The engineer will work with distributed systems, containers, and orchestration software to maintain software build pipelines.
- The engineer will be a primary point of contact for Development Operations within the Software Department.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Field with software background
- Previous experience with GitLab and Subversion (SVN) for source control management required.
- Previous experience with CMAKE, GNU Make, and Yocto build tools preferred.
- Previous experience with one or more tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Octeto, and Nexus Repository preferred.
- Demonstrated capability to develop in C, C++, Bash and/or other scripting languages
- Previous experience working with Linux environments preferably in a System Administration role
Additional Information
Compensation: Base pay range is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
