We are an EasyHiring recruiting company and are looking for candidates for Land Development Director positions for our partners.

Summary

Looking for an experienced individual to join our team of dedicated professionals to help our organization reach new heights.

The Land Development Manager is responsible for the acquisition, management, and predevelopment of all property held by company in pre-development. Responsibilities for pre-development include all activities leading up to construction or renovation.

The position will work closely with the Affiliate leadership and Board of Directors, as well as the construction and homeowner services departments. The position is also responsible for taking all properties through site acquisition, zoning, permitting, and predevelopment construction.

Areas of Responsibility

Create and manage a pre-development schedule of activities to include – site surveys, engineering, utility plans, lighting plans, remediation plans, home design plans, road plans, foundation plans –everything short of renovation start or new construction start.

Research, locate, and evaluate acquisition opportunities, including existing homes for our rehab programs

Proactive outreach to land owners, including mailers and meetings to identify land acquisition opportunities

Perform due diligence, including contracting with consultants and engineers.

Prepare due diligence reports and proformas for proposed projects

Negotiate land and home purchase agreements and related vendor contracts in coordination with affiliate leadership

Managing the disposition of all properties owned by company

Oversee investigation, application, and securing public and private financing for land acquisition

Design, Planning and Permitting

Coordinate selection and manage performance of architects, consultants, engineers, and other project specialists

Coordinate representation before public agencies and community organizations, including developing and maintaining strong relationships with government representatives and making presentations in front of government entities

Manage preparation and processing of all necessary entitlement applications and other required approvals in coordination with project team

Oversee management of design process (e.g. hiring consultants, working with design staff, ensuring issuance of building permits)

Maintain procedures for design criteria and green building program implementation

Management of property tax abatement process

Education Level:

Bachelors Degree

Must Haves

Construction, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning or Business Administration skills.

3-5 years experience in construction/real estate development.

3 years land acquisition and development and permitting.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Effectiveness with diverse audiences.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Commitment to affordable housing.

Good To Have

Experience with city regulations.

Experience with area commissions.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
