Shifts/Availability: Part Time- Hybrid
Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Purpose:
Under the direction of Chief Development Officer, the Development Coordinator will support the operational functions of the Development Office. The Development Coordinator position will focus on a variety of tasks covering a broad range of functions which will include gift entry and processing, Raiser’s Edge database updates and reports, prospect research (for individuals, grants and foundations), meeting coordination, donor stewardship, administrative tasks, volunteer coordination, event planning and daily support of the development team.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Chief Development Officer and Development Team in all duties as required.
  • Responsible for general administrative tasks including Development Team office phone and voicemail monitoring, coordinate incoming mail, gift entry and processing, Raiser’s Edge database updates and reports, donor stewardship, general clerical and filing needs, handle outgoing mailings, purchase orders, scheduling of conference calls and meetings rooms.
  • Provides prospect research for individuals, businesses and foundations to support the Development Team and Branches to help expand the donor database and meet and exceed revenue goals for the YMCA of the Greater Brandywine.
  • Assists Chief Development Officer and Development Team with general administrative and clerical needs.
  • Assists with general administrative functions, as well as recording and maintaining minutes for volunteer board committee meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Assists the Chief Development Officer and Development Team in tracking contacts for the association.
  • Responsible for conference room scheduling, food orders and set up, as needed.
  • Coordinates conference travel and registrations, as needed.
  • Participates in Development Team event planning.
  • Provide support for branch revenue initiatives including Annual Campaign, Corporate Partners, grants, donor stewardship and individual management systems when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience with enhanced knowledge of office processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in all standard business software and knowledge of databases, Raiser’s Edge experience is a plus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • Ability to work with integrity, discretion and a professional approach.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
