Dermatology practice looking for a friendly, dependable, outgoing candidate to join our team as a medical assistant. Candidate must be a team player and self-starter with a commitment to providing personalized, high-quality customer service to our patients.

Qualifications required:

• Exceptional customer service with commitment to maintaining a positive attitude at all times
• Team player with strong verbal communication skills to allow effective communication with physicians, other team members, and patients
• Self-starter, able to take initiative to identify tasks that need to be completed and find solutions for problems that may arise
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to multi-task and
• EHR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and preparing them for the health care visit
• Data entry of medical information during patient exams
• Answering patient questions
• Obtaining consents
• Assisting with dermatology visits, biopsies, minor surgeries, cosmetic procedures, and other medical procedures
• Preparing necessary surgical dressings and instructing patient in post-operative wound care, such as dressing changes and appropriate use of medications
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and medical instruments
• Completion of pathology and lab requisition documents

• Assist with patient scheduling, answering telephone calls, check in or check out of patients
• Complete prior authorizations for medications
• Other duties and tasks as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
