General Function:

The Operations Specialist will perform Deposit Operation tasks related to member share account transactions. The Specialist will support colleagues throughout the Credit Union in addressing member inquiries on deposit and share account administration and maintenance and work collaboratively to maintain efficient and effective procedures to achieve department and organization goals in compliance with regulations and professional standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

Complete daily back-office credit union functions including, but not limited to:

· ACH processing, including but not limited to daily exception processing, stop payments, and written statements of unauthorized debits

· share draft/check clearing to members’ accounts, process returns and perform adjustments for return deposited items

· Process all Government Reclamations, levies, and subpoenas

· Process all incoming and outgoing wires and electronic transfers daily

· Special Account/Items Handling (IRAs, HSAs, RMDs, Death Claims, Certificates, Dormant and Employee Accounts, Adjustments, Overdraft Program, etc.)

· Mobile Check Deposit Processing

· Daily Report Monitoring and internal controls, including File Maintenance review, dormant account activity, stop payments

· Monitor and handle telephone calls, emails, and queues

· Monitor and validate 3rdParty file transmissions

· Cash Orders

· Process SEG payroll

Maintain an understanding of various systems used by the Operations Department, including, but not limited to:

· ARCU Reports

· Ascensus, BIT, Digital Banking Admin Portal

· Eascorp/Vertifi

· Fedline

· iPay Master Site

· Symitar, Synapsys, Synergy Imaging

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum of 5 years of bank/credit union operations experience

2. Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) required, National Check Professional (NCP) a plus

3. Extensive working knowledge of Federal Financial Institution Regulations, including Truth in Savings Act, Regulations E, CC, and Privacy

4. Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills

5. Must be detail-oriented in interpreting, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting information.

6. Make sound decisions based on the evaluation of available information

7. A self-motivator with solid time management skills who can work independently

8. Ability to effectively complete multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

9. Provide prompt, clear, concise information to others in verbal, written, electronic, and other communication formats

10. Able to use various types of office equipment and be PC proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
