POSITION SUMMARY

The Demand Planner is responsible to develop forecasts and support the execution of inventory replenishment plans to meet sales and business objectives. Ensure sales, production and inventory plans are aligned. Maximize product availability while minimizing out-of-stock/overstock to meet financial goals and KPIs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Collaborate closely with Sales & Marketing, Production, Quality Assurance, R&D, I/E, and Warehouse/Transportation to achieve business goals and objectives.
• Be a key partner in inventory level management for the specific sales channel, with analysis and planning strategies.
• Develop inventory management models with trend analysis and product performance report.
• Communicate forecast and changes to U.S. Production Team. Work closely with U.S. Production Material Control to come up with monthly production plans and targets.
• Communicate daily and work closely with Hong Kong & China Production Teams, I/E, Logistics and Transportation to import products.
• Create Inter-Company Purchase Orders balancing multiple constraints to optimize container load.
• Coordinate international logistics. Monitor closely ocean freight status and proactively resolve logistics issue to bring products in on time.
• Manage the S&OP meeting topics surrounding inventory availability and outlook of supply by distributing critical inventory reporting and following through on matters that require attention.
• Primary contact for manufacturers to develop and communicate monthly production forecast updates.
• Manage and overview the manufacturing capacity utilization and develop continuous improvement plans for production efficiency and faster lead time.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Minimum B.S./B.A. degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline from an accredited university/college.
• A minimum of 3 years of related work experience in CPG environments and familiar in using SAP and forecasting systems & tools.
• Must be able to analyze and interpret sales and forecast reports and data; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; make decisions and demonstrate leadership.
• APICS certification is preferred but not required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
• Flexibility to adapt to changes with short notices.
• Motivated self-starter with a strong sense of ownership & accountability.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and advanced Excel skills

B. LANGUAGE SKILLS

The individual must be able to speak, read and write English.

C. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ideal candidate must compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.
