To continually manage the delivery and merchandising force to maintain the safest, most efficient and cost-effective ways to bring Crescent Crown Distributing’s product to retail while maintaining CCD and supplier standards, timely deliveries, proper rotation, merchandising, customer service, safe driving, and vehicle inspections. Review and make necessary changes to routing and personnel to attain and maintain Company vision. Provide leadership in the development of an excellent delivery and merchandising team through exceptional goal setting, planning, directing, controlling, managing, and measuring activities. Develop and manage outstanding internal and external relationships.

Requirements (Include But Not Limited To):

  • Must be at least 21 years of age;
  • Acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license;
  • Regularly required to use own personal vehicle to travel to customer accounts/venues;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous delivery experience and demonstrated understanding of delivery systems and scheduling;
  • Highly professional, with ability to interface will all levels of organization as well as outside contacts;
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team;
  • Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and practice ethical conduct;
  • Extended hours may be required as service needs dictate;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively, consistently and positively with team members and at all levels of the organization to accomplish goals;
  • Demonstrated people development, team-building and leadership skills;
  • Able to coach and mentor direct reports in the development of their skills;
  • Able to clearly outline tasks and objectives and fairly evaluate staff performance;
  • Displays a high-energy level, able to take charge and resolve issues quickly and effectively and provide courteous and timely service to customers;
  • Exhibits an appropriate level of attention and tact when dealing with subordinate and customer questions and complaints;
  • Computer skills required, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer);
  • Promotes and observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials properly;
  • Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure;
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to drive a delivery truck or support vehicle to deliver product;
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, walk and occasionally climb when unloading trucks for delivery, stocking and rotating product and building/restocking displays;
  • Able to regularly lift or carry up to 40 lbs. (case of beer) and occasionally push/pull up to 170 lbs. (keg of beer);
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull or carry product;
  • Able to operate a pallet jack effectively;
  • Able to maneuver a dolly effectively.

Preferred:

  • Prior management/supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Louisiana Class “A” CDL;
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a valid medical certificate in accordance with MCSR regs. 49 CFR 391.41 - 391.49;

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment;
  • Regular exposure to extreme temperatures, dusty conditions, fumes, machinery with moving parts, and outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions;
  • Possible exposure to chemicals and other toxicants, electrical shock, loud noise, and high places.
